Unexplained broken bones, bruises, cuts, and fractures are sometimes more than an accidental fall; they can also indicate abuse. It is important to pay close attention to each resident, and respond to their needs in a timely manner. Often times, a sign of neglect is a resident whose needs are not getting met. Within these pages, another topic to understand will be how to use restraints appropriately. This training will highlight the dark side of residential care: abuse and neglect, and the proper use restraints.
